Bob Coulson Posted 16 August , 2006 Share Posted 16 August , 2006 Any info on this officer would be most appreciated. He was KIA April 19th 1917 and lies in Gaza War Cemetery. Bob.
SteveE Posted 16 August , 2006 Share Posted 16 August , 2006 His commission, from the London Gazette #29309, dated 27th September 1915. The Norfolk Regiment. Lance-Serjeant Josiah Levy, from The Royal Sussex Regiment, to be Second Lieutenant. Dated 28th September, 1915. Link to the Gazette is Here There is apparantly no mention of the service with the Royal Sussex Regiment on his MIC though, so I assume he never served overseas with them. Medal card of Levy, Josiah Corps Regiment No Rank Norfolk Regiment Second Lieutenant Date 1914-1920 Catalogue reference WO 372/12 Link to Card is Here Hope this helps.
