Hi, just a qick one, i wonder if anybody can shed some light on this for me ?? I know that my grandfather was in the 2nd Coy 4th Divisonal Train ASC from his Medal card (thanks for the past help gained on here) however i have been looking at his marraige cert which was 17 th April 1917 at Prees Heath Hospital ,but as well as showing his army number it also shows the number 237 Coy, ive checked with the lists but i cant find 237 ??so can anyone help?? and finaly with regards to his medal card, it doesn,t show his SWB and i know that he was wounded, so is there a chance that he was issued a seperate card for his SWB ?? If that is the case how and were would i find that at the NA?? Thanks for reading.

Being wounded didn't entitle a soldier to a SWB, he would only have been entitled to it if he was discharged from the service due to his wound and even then he had to claim for it. As one isn't shown maybe he wasn't discharged and therefore wasn't entitled or he didn't claim?

It is equally possible that he has a second card, searching the MIC's online by name and number(s) should soon sort that one out.

Hope this helps.

Steve
