You wuill also find in St. Hubert a large plaque beside the road leading up into the town, that says that 'Pat' came from there - he ran an escape line in France and famously, when he had a lot of escappeess holed up near a beach and the RN ship didn't come to pick them up, sent a signal that rea, 'no more sign of ship than of butter on a cow's a...'

It arrived next day. The whole story is amazing. he was actually a doctor, but said he preferred to fight in war.
