Hi Pals

Have their War Diary (& the Beds / Northants ones) for the Op Michael battle and a couple of pages of the 54th Bgde book but I am interested in anything written on their activities between 20th March and the end of the month really.

I have seen written that 26 managed to report for Roll Call on the 23rd - is that accurate?

TIA :D

Steve

Im after all the info I can get my grubby littel hands on from their first phase of involvement in the battle really - 21st March to when they were withdrawn from the line around the 25th for a rest (albeit a very short one). Want to improve my understanding of the other Btns in the Brigades involvement, casualty levels, positions, individual acts etc etc. Am loaded with 7th Beds stuff, just after the other 2 Btns now!

Same would go for the 6th NH too (have the War Diary too), as you may perhaps have bits from their involvement? Stood on the spot that Herring won his VC on in January BTW & have photos of what remains of La Montagne Bridge and the length of the Crozat Canal the 7th Beds held if you want them & I havent already fed them to you? You wouldnt know what happened there if you were just going for an afternoon stroll y'know ... :(

I'll sort out what I've got.

Of course, "rest" in this instance was having a smoke in the quiet part of the Alamo....
