andypugh Posted 5 August , 2006 Share Posted 5 August , 2006 Good afternoon everyone I hope you are all enjoying the summer weather.Im trying to find out where the 30th bn the machine gun corps were fighting during the German Offensive on the day of the 21st of March 1918. The reason Im trying to find this information is because a friend of mine who is getting on in his years had his Grandfarther killed on that day and whose body was lost.He is commemorated on the Pozieres memorial.If anybody could help me on this basically i would like know the area where they fought on that day.His name was G,Rummell Private.service number 64040 30th BN machine gun corps,Killed on Thursday 21st March 1918.My friend is hoping to plan a trip out to that area of the conflict.All help would greatfully received best regards to you all.
