dorisj7 Posted 14 July , 2006 Posted 14 July , 2006 I have a previous post looking to find my grandfather who served in World War 1. With much help from forum members, I was starting to find some details but as there was several John Robbins, more research was needed to find the right one. Just two days ago, I received an e-mail from a new found relative, through a County forum, who is indeed another grandchildren. It seems my grandfather was a naughty boy and had a second family with five more children. He met his second wife after being mustard gassed and was in a hospital(or convelescent home) in Tunbridge Wells(David Solomom's). They have his war medals, so I have been told he was in the Bedfordshire regiment. Not sure of his service number. Waiting for more answers from this family in England. As you can imagine, I have many questions and finding it hard to patiently wait for their replies. As this forum has been so much help, hoping you can help me with some questions. Has anyone heard of this hospital? Any info on the Bedfordshire regiments? Will try to attach medal cards I previously had from NA, one looks like Bedfordshire. 6/Bed? 4/7076 Any information gladly welcomed Doris
