Can anybody tell me the locations of the 3rd/6th Bn Cheshires (Home Force) My Grandfather served in this Bn from 1915 - 1916 then was discharged "No longer fit for war service" but renlisted into the RWK until demob in 1920

There's a bit about the 3/6th in David Kelsall's "Stockport Lads Together".

Enlistment started in November 1914. Recrutiment was slow and, quite quickly, the height limit was dropped from 5' 4" to 5' 1". Even so, by Feb 1915 they were still 500 men short.

Training was still going on in the Stockport area but, not long after this, they moved to Aberystwyth with other 3rd line battalions. By mid June, they were the only battalion left there and, at the end of July, they moved to Park Hall Camp near Oswestry.

There's no further details in the booklet.
