AB64 Posted 10 July , 2006 Share Posted 10 July , 2006 Looking for any info on Frank James Hollier, 5800 of the RAMC, he won the MM which is shown in the LG supplement of 28 Jan 1918 page 1388, and was from Bristol. Ideally looking for his citation, or excerpts from his local paper, but a start would be any suggestion of when he would have earned the MM, and which part of the RAMC he served in (does the number give any clues?) Thanks in advance Alistair
Jim Strawbridge Posted 11 July , 2006 Share Posted 11 July , 2006 Wife's maiden name is Hollier. If you find a London link I may be able to help. My father in law is aged 80 and had an army career. His father was in the London Rifles in WW1.
AB64 Posted 24 July , 2006 Author Share Posted 24 July , 2006 Just found he was 22nd Field Ambulance, who were part of 7th Division, not a London lad - he was from Bristol. Alistair
