I would very grateful if one of the Human LG search engines could unearth this chap's MC... I have tried every mis-spelling I can think of!

Here is his MIC. (Shouldn't he have two?)

Medal card of Bonathan, Frank S

Corps Regiment No Rank

1st Middlesex Regiment L/12106 Lance Corporal

1st Middlesex Regiment L/12106 Warrant Officer Class 2

Middlesex Regiment Second Lieutenant

He was KIA 28/04/17.

AGWR

Ian,

That explains that! I had just assumed that there was one.

I will just have to wait until I am next down at Kew to find out when his MC was gazetted.

I presume that this might be his officers file at the National Archives.

WO 339/86173 BONATHAN F [1914-1922]

The General BMD Register Index lists a likely candidate as : Frank Stanley Bonathan, born in 1893 at Portsea, Hampshire.
