Terence Munson Posted 5 July , 2006 Share Posted 5 July , 2006 Remembering Gunner Robert Munson, No. 821275 serving with 'V' 59th T. M. Battery of the Royal Field Artillery, was killed in action on the 6th July 1917 near Templeux-le-Guerard. Age 27, (My grandfather). Buried in Templeux-le-Guerard British Cemetery, Somme, France. Also from the same battery, killed on the same day and buried close by, Gunner D.J. Fisher, No. 214227. Like many I’ve not been able to find my grandfather’s records or any accounts of action on that day. One assumes it was another day of hard grinding effort and probably reported. “All quiet on the Western Front”. Cheers: Terry
