Looks like Royal Regiment of Artillery to me. That usually requires a bit more digging to locate Battery or Brigade to which assigned.

They're Artillerymen but what branch of the service I don't know.

Possibly, but they are routinely mounted - Puttees worn tide from knee to ankle.

Does the lanyard on the epaulette of the artilleryman in the back convey anything? The time of the photo - 1915? The one at the back still has his hat stiffener in and the two at the front don't. ??

The caps all appear to be "Soft" Service Dress caps which were introduced in March 1916 but did not become common until after late 16 early 17.

The lanyard signifies the soldier is wearing his clasp knife.

I would say the photo is probably circa 1917 possibly 1918.
