Harts Army list of 1915 has a Second Lieutenant A H Hutchinson (on probation) serving wth 3rd Battalion KOYLI date of commission 15th August 1914. Not sure if this the same as your Harry Hutchinson.

Not sure if this is the commission from the ranks for Tom M. Hutchinson or not. There appears to be no suitable MIC entry for a J. M. Hutchinson so I'm wondering if the T has been misread and written as a J in the Gazette. Can't find anything in the Gazette for Harry though.

London Gazette #29787, dated 18th October 1916.

War Office,

18th October 1916.

REGULAR FORCES.

The undernamed Warrant Officers, Noncommissioned Officers and Men to be temp. 2nd Lts. (on prob.), with effect from the dates shown:

SERVICE BATTALIONS.

E. York. R. Lce.-Corpl. J. M. Hutchinson, from W. York. R. 18th Sept. 1916.

Link to Gazette is Here

Hope this helps
