A great question Ilbury. The list on page 14 was compiled by Kevin Endon who has not been on the forum since 2010. I dont keep a master file so the names can be found by searching the site for them. If you fancy compiling a new list that would be great!!

Kind regards.

 Tom,.

If you do not fancy the task, the bould Knotty has volunteered to be 'Keeper of the List.'

Good man Knotty!

Kind regards.

Thanks Tom for the reply. The reason why I asked is that it has occurred to me for some time that this thread is a possible place for people to find a re-unite of a missing medal or medals of a broken pair or trio that they might have in their collection. Regards John

Hello Ilbury.

This is not a wants or for sale topic, that service is available on another page in this forum. There is nothing for sale here, nor is it, or was it ever implied. Pals who post here, I am sure, do not wish to be hassled or approached by people looking for medals. Anyone who posted in this topic in the past looking for medals had their post removed by the mods (thank you Mods!).

Having said that I am sure PM's pass between pals who look at this topic for various reasons. It is up to pals to answer or not to answer.

Kind regards.

 Tom.

Hi Tom,

It's been a while since I added anything, so here's a Cambridgeshire Regiment chap who was killed in action during the Battle of Cambrai serving with the 7th Suffolks:

Private Albert Victor CULLUM (BWM, VM & Death Plaque)

All the best

Steve

I have started adding the details where they have been given, although there is no need to do this.

Please, please, please, if you are going to delete a post then please don't. If you want you can leave the post in place and edit the post so that it says MEDALS NO LONGER IN MY POSSESSION. If you do sell or get rid of something on your list can I ask that you do leave them in place just incase a relative sees that a medal they are after still exists and you may be able to help the track it down.

Thanks for your help

Kevin

The names on the list are

Tom.

Thanks, it was down to the Forum actually that an American Collector in DC saw my post searching for it, and contacted me, lovely bloke, sent it back for nothing with the research he had done on my grandad, I sent him a couple of medals to replace but he didn't ask for. He had bought it off a guy in Miami on Ebay. My Grandad died 1976 Brighton and his 2nd wife must have let house clearers have it. Just shows you that keep searching and you may well find especially if a VM as not silver.

Just understand - is the list on P14 of this thread (published in 2009) the updated and definitive list ?

Hi All

Just  keeping you up to date with my progress on compiling the list, which unfortunately does stop at page 14. There are several pages to go through with several hundred names to sort through.

I ran an idea past Tom and at present I'm pulling all the data alphabetically into a (big) spread sheet that will allow a search by name/number /medal/ poster/post no./ page etc. (where its applicable) to make life a bit easier for cataloging and finding. My idea is then to publish the list a couple of times a year, at the moment it is still work in progress, but please keep adding your contributions.

John

Good man John. Its a huge task and thank you again for your work.

I will just say again to posters and viewers there is nothing offered for sale or wanted in these pages, there is another page on this forum for that. It is merely a topic where members list any physical item they have that belonged to, or was awarded to a Great War individual.

Having said that, I am not responsible for any messages passed between members.

Thank you again to all for your generous posts, this page would not exist without you.

Kind regards and well done again Knotty!

 Tom.
