NASIRABAD being a town and cantonment in the district of Aimere, Rajputana. It forms the headquarters of the brigade in the 5th division of the Southern Army of India. The Southern Army stretched from Baluchistan to southern India. Burrows, The War 1914 - 1919, Vol. 6, The Service Battalions: "The 2nd Garrison Battalion , formed also in 1915, was sent to India in 1916 and was located in Mhow area.
