RFA Brigades 38th & 232nd

Recommended Posts

Reading on the mother site Brigades of the RFA were moved after Jan 17 to the

control of an Army Brigade

Im trying to find where two particular Btn's went to,the 38th and the 232nd and

where they were serving in July and April 1917 respectively,Im researching two

men who were KIA while serving with these RFA Brgades.

Could anyone point me in the right direction

24th Army Brigade RFA was at rest from 18 Jun 17 to 9 July 17. It then served with 8th Division, II Corps from 10 July 17 to 1 Aug 17 and with 25th Division, II Corps from 1 Aug 17 to 12 Aug 17. It was in a rest area from 13 Aug 17 to 23 Aug 17, after which it returned to 25th Division and served with it from 24 Aug 17 to 25 Aug 17. From 25 Aug 17 to 2 Sep 17 it was under 47th Division.

232nd Army Brigade, RFA served with 8th Division, II Corps from 30 Jun 17 to 2 Aug 17 and with 25th Division, II Corps from 2 Aug 17 to 12 Aug 17. It was in a rest area from 12 Aug 17 to 22 Aug 17 and then joined 15th Division, XIX Corps from 23 Aug 17 to 30 Aug 17.
