Remembered Today:

A Gallipoli Diary

Following a chance conversation in a bookshop in St Davids last weekend, I have today received a pre-publication copy of ‘A Gallipoli Diary’, which relates the experiences of Private Bryn Davies of the 4th Batt. Welsh Regiment during August – October 1915.

The central portion of the book covers the diary, with his voyage to Alexandria, proceeding to Gallipoli and into the front line at Sulva Bay. A brief outline of his career, before and after army service forms the remainder of the book.

My reason for mentioning this book, privately funded by Bryn Davies’s son, is that all profits will go the the St Davids Branch of the R.B.L.

The book is due to be published in November and will cost £4.50 + pp.
