Guest JoyLFC Posted 30 September , 2003 Share Posted 30 September , 2003 I have been contacted by Roweena Cain, a parishoner at St James Church, West Derby, Liverpool. They have a large glass mosaic war memorial in the church which is in a terrible state of disrepair. In fact £25,000 of disrepair. However it is one of only two such memorial in the country according to the architect who is helping them. I put her in touch with Friends of War Memorials as all other avenues have been researched by the parishoners. They cant get lottery money or Heritage money cos its inside the church, it could have been a different matter if it was on the street. If any pal feels they would like to make a contribution or can offer any adivice she can be contacted on 0151 259 7531.
