bigronhartley Posted 4 November , 2006 Share Posted 4 November , 2006 Hello Pete, I've discovered this topic and wondered if you might be able to help. I am searching for information relating to Captain Tom Ramsden Kenworthy, RAMC (TF) who was awarded the Military Cross (Jan 1918), the French Croix de Guerre (Oct, 1919) and MID (May 1918) whilst serving with the 2/2 West Riding Field Ambulance (62nd Division). He may have been attached to 312 Bde Royal Field Artillery. He was also wounded on more than one occasion. Any information relating to his awards/wounds would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. gnr.ktrha Posted 14 November , 2006 Share Posted 14 November , 2006 Hello, Is there any information on Capt. Vyvyan Kendall Sadler, who died on the 17th April 1917, or Captain Howard Tomlin Hunter, who died in April 1915 ? Thanks for your time, Stewart
petestarling Posted 17 November , 2006 Author Share Posted 17 November , 2006 Stewart I can not find Hunter on the RAMC roll of honour for WW1 but the following for Sadler: Educated at Rossall School and at University College London. Qualified in 1907. After serving as a Medical Officer at Tiverton Infirmary he became a surgeon to the P & O Line. Later he joined the RAMC and went to the front at the beginning of the year. Hope this is of use. Pete Starling
gnr.ktrha Posted 17 November , 2006 Share Posted 17 November , 2006 Hello Pete, Thank you very much for all of your help. I have a telegram which was sent by the Keeper of the Privy Purse to the family of Capt. Sadler. It's great to know something more about him. As for Catain Hunter, he was in fact an officer in the Northumberland Fusiliers, but had trained as a Surgeon prior to the war.
