7th Londons at Cambrai

Ian, the only mention of the 1/7th Londons in the British Official History was in the retaking of 'the ridge west of Bourlon Wood'. This occurred on the 2nd December, when the two companies involved 'suffered rather heavily from machine-gun fire.'

Thanks Robert. At least this confirms they were indeed there.

A relative of a friend was seriously wounded by shell-fire at Cambrai and died at Rouen in mid-December.
