mmm45 Posted 6 April , 2006 Share Posted 6 April , 2006 Hi I was given a mixed bag of Lancashire Fusilier and Royal Fusiliers badges buttons and officers pips. The Lancs Fusiliers badges and buttons are definately circa 1914-1918 but were officers pips worn during this period or did they wear their ranks on the sleeves? I have two small pips and two bigger ones. Ady
HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 6 April , 2006 Share Posted 6 April , 2006 Metal{SD} "Pips" were worn later on in the War on shoulder epaulettes, smaller ones were used to make up high ranking officers rank.
Greg1 Posted 7 April , 2006 Share Posted 7 April , 2006 Did they also have a larger pattern pip to wear on the greatcoat? Greg
