A great uncle of mine died of wounds on the 22nd December 1915 & is burried at etaples military cemetery. His name was Thomas Wright, 26968, 14th Bn., Durham Light Infantry.

What I would like to know is what happened to him??

Hello

you best bet is to try the local paper. He lived at Easington Colliery, County Durham. Failing that the war diary might help, but being a DoW it could have been for an action weeks or months earlier

Good luck

Ian
