pgardiner1418 Posted 22 September , 2003 Share Posted 22 September , 2003 I am trying to help a friend with research on her Grandfather, according to his records he was gassed while driving his motor transport, he seems to have been in the 335 coy A.S.C. but I can`t as yet find any details as to which unit they were attached to in July 1917. Can anyone help. thanks P Gardiner

Chris_Baker Posted 23 September , 2003 Share Posted 23 September , 2003 335 Company ASC was formed 16 March 1915 and disbanded 10 August 1919. It was a Motor Tranpsort unit, and acted as the Brigade Ammunition Column for 14th Brigade RGA. At some point it became the Corps Siege Park for XIII Corps Heavy Artillery. pgardiner1418 Posted 23 September , 2003 Author Share Posted 23 September , 2003 Thanks for the prompt attention on the 335 coy question both from myself and Jill who is trying to put together her family WW1 history. This is the first time I have used the Forum but it certainly wont be the last. Thanks again and I look forward to becoming more involved Paul
