Remembered Today:

Suicide Corner

Thanks, but this is not the suicide corner, I was looking for. The Middlebrook Guide to the Somme Battlefields has it near the Church in Hamel. The 10th Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers have mentioned it in their War Diary and the soldier was killed in the frontline trenches. I have located the area but can’t see any map mentioning the location.

Kind regards,

Sorry, but this information should have been in your original post.  I checked a number of maps based on several reported locations near Hamel called Suicide Corner, including the church.  I hope you are successful in finding it.

Cheers, Bill
