OR:

What about hypothetical enlistment? Who would you have joined?

I suspect it would be much the same as our heritary links.

Our Green And Pleasant Land.

Being a dial-up dinosaur, I was watching that pic slowly take shape on my screen. Lovely bit of English woodland, thought I, not taken yesterday, by golly :) ....

... then those chaps in white, performing who knows what devilish ritual, appeared. Harrumph!

Nice thought otherwise, Roland :D

Well, I dunno about you lot but I was born in England, have a Scottish Granny and a degree from the University of Wales - so if I'm not British I'm bloomin' confused!

This is, of course, very handy when the Six Nations come by - I can claim some kind of allegiance to three countries, no-one ever minds when Ireland win (well, except a certain Clive chap!) and hey, the Brits love an underdog so if Italy do well... Which just leaves the French to get upset about!

Damned if I sympathise with anyone else at cricket though, even with the multi-national additions to the team team of Jones the Gloves and Jones the Reverse Swing...
