armourersergeant Posted 7 September , 2003 Posted 7 September , 2003 Is it possible to find out how a general did whilst at Staff College and in what position he passed out at. I have done a search and can not find a site but i was wondering if any pals could help out with contacts etc. Arm.
Greenwoodman Posted 7 September , 2003 Posted 7 September , 2003 You could perhaps chase this link up, Arm. Staff College Museum
armourersergeant Posted 8 September , 2003 Author Posted 8 September , 2003 That led to a dead end i am afraid as the phone numbers were not valid to them any more. Also a 118 500 call was no better in all variants i tried. So if anyone else has an idea i'm all ears. Arm.
Greenwoodman Posted 8 September , 2003 Posted 8 September , 2003 Try the Ogilby Trust - they may know what has happened to the Staff College Museum. Ogilby Trust
armourersergeant Posted 23 January , 2004 Author Posted 23 January , 2004 Just bringing this post back up after a while as i have drawn a blank and was rather hoping that someone may have missed this when it was posted originally? Arm.
Michael Posted 23 January , 2004 Posted 23 January , 2004 Arm I may have a lead. Last time at the PRO I found WO76/468 which was the record of service of all officers from the 1st Battalion Buffs (on microfilm). If they went to staff college their marks were recorded along with loads of other interesting stuff. When I rolled past the Buffs there were other regiments so maybe his details will be in there somewhere. Michael
armourersergeant Posted 23 January , 2004 Author Posted 23 January , 2004 Thanks Michael, I am aiming to pay a visit some time early feb so will follow that lead through when i go. Arm.
