Bob Bedward Posted 3 February , 2006 Share Posted 3 February , 2006 Seale-Hayne College Newton Abbot Devon Women Trainees In March 1918 Seale Hayne College was being prepared to being taken over by the War Office to become the famous Seale Hayne “Shell Shock” Hospital. Prior to that Seale-Hayne had been operating since 1915 as an agricultural training college for women during which time “300 to 400 women had been trained in farm work”. Would those women be freelance, as it were, or would they have been part of the official organised Land Army? Are there any records of Land Army Members or of Seale-Hayne students please?
