Clive Harris Posted 6 September , 2003 Posted 6 September , 2003 Hi folks, havn't been on for a while as monday-friday working on the battlefields, I feel a little guilty appearing again with a question but given the broad base of interest on the forum I know someone out there will be able to help. I am just finishing some research on a lad discharged from the Devons into the Labour Corps after he was medically downgraded, off to Kew today to try and find out more about his time with the labour corps but does anyone know what sort of Labour unit 664 HSE was, it would seem to suggest home service yet the lad concerned is still in France at this stage of the war, he ends up in No 169 Infantry Labour Company and again it would be of great use if anyone knew which army or corps they were attached to. Thanks in advance Clive
Ivor Lee Posted 6 September , 2003 Posted 6 September , 2003 Clive 664 was a Home Service Employment Company based in Belfast. I have e-mailed you with more information about his service.
