The first one is the memorial which used to stand next to the Mole at Zeebrugge. It commemorated the raid on St. George's Day, 1918. The Germans destroyed it in 1942.

No idea where the demarcation stone is really, but I think it might be the one in Zuidschote, being so near to the buildings.

The third one looks a bit like the 5th Australian Division Memorial on the butte at Polygon Wood, but it looks a bit thin somehow.

I think the last one is the original Queen Victoria's Rifles Memorial which used to stand on the top of Hill 60. It was damaged in WW2 and the present version is a smaller, rebuilt one.

2 mins. Thats what I call a result.

There are a few others including a couple of the newly built Menin Gate.

Thanks Tom.

Could the third one be the 49th Div memorial at Essex Farm?

The third is surely not the Australian memorial in Polygon Wood, I think Michelle may be right.

2nd is definately the 49th Div. Memorial near Essex Farm on the West bank of the Ieper-Ijzer canal.

As for the demarcation stone I would more be tented towards the one at Boezinge at the end of the Brugstraat. At first sight Zuidschote doesn't has such large houses. It would be interesting to have the name of the pub on the background.

Jacky.

I have inspected the original closely, the wording on the pub is too indistinct to read.

Thanks everyone.

John.
