Terry Carter Posted 27 August , 2003 Share Posted 27 August , 2003 The story is that young (under-age) Albert Cornelius Smith run away from his Birmingham home to enlist in one of the battalions of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Apart from surviving the war, that is all my mate knows about his grandfather. I am hoping the middle name may help find out a bit more about him.
