Max Posted 26 August , 2003 Posted 26 August , 2003 Hello Everyone I am looking for a town/area called Scherpe(n)berg, I think it is near Kemmel, but try as I might I can't find it. Any help would be gratefully received. Cheers Andy
Guest Bert Hoornaert Posted 26 August , 2003 Posted 26 August , 2003 Hi, Max, The Scherpenberg is a hill on the road from Loker (Locres) to De Klytte. It is only 6 km (if I remember the roadsign right) from Kemmel. I hope this helps. Bert
Max Posted 26 August , 2003 Author Posted 26 August , 2003 Thanks Bert I think i've got it now. Just slightly SE of Westouter. Thanks again, Andy

Guest paddy Posted 21 September , 2003 Posted 21 September , 2003 G'day Max, G'day "Chester If you want the full story on Scherpenberg try Warrelicsarchives@hotmail.com and "ask for Rik" ooRoo
egbert Posted 21 September , 2003 Posted 21 September , 2003 Guten Tag paddy, Your advance on Berlin was unsuccessful, right? Stopped way ahead at Scherpenberg?!
Guest paddy Posted 26 September , 2003 Posted 26 September , 2003 Morgan Egbert Someone said there had been an armistice signed. That must have been a Furphey. {Aussie for Rumour} Are you keeping score? I gave up! ooRoo
egbert Posted 26 September , 2003 Posted 26 September , 2003 Well paddy, counting is useless since author is not a math genius. But one thing is obscure: how can you be in billets in Mailly 6.9. and push into Berlin 7.9.?? No Aussi ever crossed the lines of 52 ID within 12 hrs.! Mission impossible -also remember the most famous messenger dog who was always on alert in the sap....
Guest paddy Posted 26 September , 2003 Posted 26 September , 2003 Chester must have dozed off. 'twas easy! They call it Eurail, and, like the Blues Brothers, I was on a mission from god. [no blasphemy involved] Have just read your entries on the watch found at M Maillet. Interesting. Particularly as stated there were no CCS's, but OUR billet was formely Canadian Hospital. ooRoo
