We were having a conversation in the pub the other day about the Titanic. My mate said that the famous paperboy picutre (shwon here:

was either the first or last British casualty of the Frist World War. I would have thought the if the Titanic sank in 1912 then he would have to have been the last casualty of the war as he would ahve been too young to ahve been a pre-war regular.

Can anyone shed any light on the matter?

Mark beat me to it. I saw the details in a newspaper article obviously based round the picture. As you say fascinating stuff!
