If you look at the rim of the British War Medal and Victory Medal and the back of the Star they should have his WW1 number or possibly numbers on them.

Well, they're definately WW1 medals. Now to identify exactly which JT Jackson he was.

Neryone, you mentioned he was MID. If this is the case then he didn't serve with the 2nd Battalion HLI. I have the official history by Telfer-Smollett and it doesn't list a Jackson anywhere.

Sorry this was only 'negative' feedback but maybe by a process of elimination we'll be able to narrow it down a bit.
