sjtelfer Posted 23 December , 2005 Share Posted 23 December , 2005 (edited) I'd be interested to see if anyone might have a photograph of Lt. Col. Henry Glanviille Allen Moore. He enlisted in the Grenadier Guards in 1886, was appointed a commssion to the Royal Warwicks in 1891 and served in the Egyptian campaign in 1898, being present at the battle of Omdurman. He was promoted Major in 1908 and transferred to the East Yorks 1st Bn. Early in 1914 he was appointed to command the depot at Beverley. At the outbreak of war he was selected to command the 6th Bn and appointed temporary Lt. Col. He was KIA duing the attempt to take Tekke Tepe in Gallipoli.
