The silver one with Czar Nicholas II Head on it is a 3rd Class Medal of Gallantry & these were worn from various russian Order ribbons dependant on the award.the other Brass/Bronze award appears to be a Commemorative for a Russian city or Notable person for 300 Years anniversary,Also a very nice ID bracelet from a russian coin,

is the silver Medal named to a UK recipient? if so it may be recorded in the London Gazette.

William Arthur Rigby’s occupation on enlistment was clerk and he gave his address as Korchester Grove, Chiswick, London. His rank in the RNACD was Petty Officer and he served in No 1 Squadron of L-L’s force. He was awarded the Silver St Stanislaus Medal and Cross of St George 4th class i think for his services in the Caucasus and Rumania. He transferred to the MGC on 18/1/18 and served in the Duncar Brigade in northern Iraq and Persia

Yes I would imagine so,if it is named to him,these Medals were to all appearances the same but depending on their class worn from Ribbons of the Various Orders{St Stanislaus was Yellow White & Red stripes,& was I believe used for one of the Soviet War Medals~War In Japan??}

Hi Guys,

I believe the silver medal is a Nicholas II Zeal medal and the bronze medal is a commemorative medal for 300 years of the Romanov Dynasty.

Trying to redeem myself for my recent French military medal oversight,

Neil

Doesn't the ID bracelet indicate a date before 1st April 1918? The "RNAS" suggests that to me - or am I mistaken yet again?

Indeed the ID Bracelet could well predate the institution of the RAF,as could the Russian Awards,the London Gazette dates of these would confirm their approximate date of award{@ least their confirmation}
