We are going to use a picture of the chapel in one of our US WFA publications. Do I have the name just right? Am I correct that it is to 1915 Artois dead only? We discussed Tour de France recently, this chapel has a plaque to 1909 winner Francois Faber died 18 May 15 at Carency 1st Regiment Etrangers. Thanks.

Hello Paul,

If I'm not mistaken, the chapel is for all the French dead in the Artois (and even Flanders) and not only 1915. I have read somewhere that a lot of the unknown French soldiers from Flanders were reburied there.

The correct name is Notre Dame de Lorette.

Regards,

Jan
