andy1400 Posted 2 December , 2005 Share Posted 2 December , 2005 I am doing some research and wonder wether anyone could tell me where the 9th Battalion Yorkshire Regt was on the 08/09/1918. The man I am looking into is Pte Ernest Webb 42529 and any info on him would be much appreciated. Thanks Andy
Bob Coulson Posted 2 December , 2005 Share Posted 2 December , 2005 Andy, 9th Battalion were in Italy and first week in September were in camp at Brusabo undergoing musketry training. Then ordered into reserve trenches but this then cancelled and on the 11th the battalion moved to Centrale. Bob.
andy1400 Posted 2 December , 2005 Author Share Posted 2 December , 2005 Cheers Bob. Do you think he died rather than was killed or wounded? Andy
Bob Coulson Posted 2 December , 2005 Share Posted 2 December , 2005 Doesn't look like he was KIA, died or died of wounds at a guess. Bob.
