Possible photo opportunity

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if there was anyone going to the divisional cemetary mentioned below.

If so would it be possible for you to take a photo of the grave mentioned below. It belongs to my great Uncle who served with the 1st Battalion, Leinster Regiment and was killed in action during the second battle of Ypres.

I am doing some research on my Grandfather and his brother at the moment but am finding it difficult as I am living in Australia.

Hopefully someone can help me with this request as I would like to pass on this information to my Daughter.

Williams Grave is located in Grave/Memorial reference A 16A

The above Divisional Cemetary is located in Belgium at Ieper (Ypres),West-Vlaanderen.

In memory of Cpl William Brown 2620 1st Battalion, Leinster Regiment

John.

Please can you clarify the name of the cemetery that William is buried in. There are dozens in the Ypres area but the burials are not done on a Divisional basis. There are also 750+ W Browns on the CWGC database who were killed in WW1 and who served in the Army.

Many thanks.

Neil

The cemetery is referred to as Divisional Cemetery on the CWGC site.
