"Y" Battery Royal Horse Artillery

There are two casualties of "Y" Battery RHA killed on 26th August 1914 and 13th October 1914 respectively.

"Y" Battery was in India in August 1914 and was transported to England in November.

The two casualties are Gunner W J Archer and Gunner C Thrasher (I know the CWGC states he was RFA, but this cannot be so).

I presume they were attached to another RHA Brigade.

Does anyone know if they were "D","E","I", "J" or "L"?

Regards,

Tim
