need help

Hi im doing a project for a history class. Im going to write a paper and pretend to be a British soldier in world war one and write letters home to my pretend wife about what i am seeing in the war. My question is dose anyone know of a unit that was in alot of major battles on the western front and that was in combat during the whole war. Thank you for any help.

Welcome to the Forum but I am afraid I cannot give you the answer you are looking for.

Many of us here have had to write projects for School and whilst it seems easier to ask than do your own research, believe me, your Teacher will be able to tell the difference between work you have researched or just asked others to help you (There are Teachers on this Forum,although I am not).

I am assuming you live in UK.

If you look on the Forum Threads,you will see one about Books.A couple that spring to mind that could assist your research is "Tommy" by Richard Holmes or "Forgotten Voices from the Great War" by Max Arthur(I may have this Title and name of Author wrong.)

Can I suggest you make up a reading list from our Book Forum then pop into your School or Local Library and borrow some of the Books from your list.

You will find your answers in the Books and be able to impress your Teacher with your source material.
