HERITAGE PLUS Posted 20 November , 2005 Share Posted 20 November , 2005 Bernard The Coldtreamers had three regular battalions. 4th and 5th (Reserve) Battalions were raised for wartime service during the Great War. 4th and 5th and 6th battalions were raised for wartime service during WW2. None of the books I have mention a 6th. Battalion prior to 1941 however that doen't mean one didn't exist earlier another PAL may have the linl you need. Steven Broomfield Posted 20 November , 2005 Share Posted 20 November , 2005 There was a 1st (Provisional) Battn in mid 1918. Any possibilities there - it was at Aldershot.

Graham Stewart Posted 20 November , 2005 Share Posted 20 November , 2005 Bernard, Probably a clerical error, as no source material I have points to there being a 6th Bn, Coldstream Gds. Graham.

Never seen a reference to it again mind so you never know about the 6th Ian
