Hopefully there are a few out there who have read Alistair Mcleans book

HMS ULLYSSES. do you agree with me that this should be made into a movie?

The back drop would be awesome, the aid to Russia convoys, and with such actors out there as Sir Anthony Hopkins, who would make an ideal Admiral Tyndall,it could be a masterpiece!

Tell me your thought on this!

I read this a VERY long time ago and thought it was marvellous. Since there is no Larry, Sir John or Jack Hawkins, I suppose we will have to settle for what we have.

Dear Kevin,

I have read this 4 or 5 times and am still gripped by the story...What a great pity they filmed the guns of navarone instead of this epic!

Ivan

Ivan,

I imagine that a good film could be made now, it would look terrific with modern computer graphics. my only worry would be that it would end up as USS Ulysses.
