New site to list medals, SWBs and Death Plaques

I've started a site to list medals and such. The sites name is www40.brinkster.com/donaldmcdonald. Please note none of the other links except the one to view the wants page and then from that to the SWbs, medals and Death Plaques. I've only just started and will be upgrading to a better package if all goes well.

Let me know what you think.

Joe,

I wish you well.

You should do well with the medals as I felt compelled to stop listing new medal wants on my site a few weeks back.

There should be a free venue for these "wants" on the web so well done.

Well thanks for the encouragement, but please let me make this clear, I do not want to be a rival to this website or any other Great War website. By the way Derek I saw your website and thought it was brilliant.

Thanks

Joe

Ok well, I've had no requests for medals and no feedback, so I'm taking it that thesites a flop. Can someone leave some feedback here telling me whats wrong with it?

Hi Joe,

I've just sent you an email with the details of my great-grandfather's trio and plaque.

The site looks fine to me.

Good luck and I hope it's a success.

Ok all,

There'll be a slight delay in putting up the new ones. I'm going to draw a table for them.

Any more wants will be very welcome.

Thanks

ps: I do have a Victory medal for Charles E Piper tho' if anyone is a relative. (regiment no 750 The Queen's) - he was also in the Bedfordshire Regiment and ASC (Pte in all regiments). Been trying to reunite medal with family - originally dug up in my uncle back garden in welling, kent.

Jo and Tom,

I'll put the medals on soon when the table is ready.

Susan,

I have a small database of 120 medals or so on my PC, I'll add that one to it. I'll also put that one John Church on anyway, you never know.

Hi Joe

Thanks for this

I'm looking for any of these medals 2nd E Yorks 5748 Sgt (later CSM- RSM) Thomas Patrick CARNEY MC, DCM and bar, QSA (clasps Cape Colony, Wittebergen, Transvaal, SA 1901,

SA 1902), 1914/15 star trio, Defence Medal, LSGC (GV), MSM (GVI).

I've been told by family that my grandmother's brother's medals were lost during the bombing of Liverpool WW2, but they may have been mistaken and meant her other brother Sgt John CARNEY 2nd E Yorks DCM

Would love to have any of the above

Caryl

Hello Joe,

I wish you the best of luck in what could turn out to be an enormous task.

I'm after medals named to Neal and would also be interested in those named to Buckett and Yelf.

Cheers

Tony
