robmstewart Posted 16 November , 2005 Share Posted 16 November , 2005 My Granfather Died when I was 11 years old so I didn,t really know a lot about him before my mother died she gave me some of his discharge papers telling me somethings about him. He enlisted on 3rd January 1908 and his number was 8575 he enlisted in Exeter and was discharged under Para 392 on 11/28/1917 wounded with a GSW to left wrist and shrapnel injuries. I also have a charactor report which states that he served the colours at home and in Egypt and on active service in France and was wounded in action. I also have his campaign box which tells me he was in A Coy 2nd Devons. I would appreciate any information about A Coy 2nd Devons or any other information about the 2nd Devons .
