davedixon Posted 14 November , 2005 Share Posted 14 November , 2005 Just watched the above programme from last night that I recorded. I was wondering if anyone else saw it and what they thought. I really enjoyed it. Dave.
John_Hartley Posted 14 November , 2005 Share Posted 14 November , 2005 I liked it. Interesting spin. Was particularly interested in seeing what Moose Jaw looked like as a couple of my researchees emigrated there and fought with the CEF John
Kate Wills Posted 15 November , 2005 Share Posted 15 November , 2005 I enjoyed it as an interesting bit of late-night TV. It was straightforward, no-frills family history really. It did not make the mistake of being overly reverential, or pointing fingers at the usual suspects, but wove the separate tales of the two men who would become the alpha and omega of the British and Commonwealth fallen in the Great War. Will O'Brien Posted 15 November , 2005 Share Posted 15 November , 2005 Have to say that it didn't really 'light my fire' so to speak. If I am honest I fell asleep ................I blame an early start that morning
