David Kay Posted 14 November , 2005 Share Posted 14 November , 2005 For the last 15 years, my act of rememberance has been to place a British Legion poppy cross on the grave of Pte R Bullen 11th East Lancs who died of wounds sustained on the 1st July 1916 at Serre. He died on the 10th July and is buried in Padiham Lancashire, his home town. This is a symbolic act of respect on my part for all those who fought in the Great War. Over the last couple of years I have noticed that someone else has begun doing the same, and this year there is also a small bunch of plastic flowers and a laminated photogtraph of Pte Bullen in his uniform. Any of you fellow NE Lancs pals responsible?
