Someone will know for certain, but it looks to me like they're for the George the Fifth Jubilee Medal and George the Sixth Coronation Medal.

A bit too "Posh" for Coronation or Jubilee Medals.

I would suggest that they are for Medals of The Royal Victorian Order [RVM]

as they have Ring suspension & the Ribbon folded thus to fit through.

These are not RVM boxes.

The George VI cyphred box was the standard case for several long service issues - notably Colonial Police and Fire LS&GCs. It was replaced in the early '50s by the more usual rectangular box that's in use today for awards like the WVS, Police, RUC, ISM etc.

Measure the insert. Standard size medals are 36mm, so the insert should accomodate them snugly. Anything smaller, then it's more than likely an (pre, or post-economy) Imperial Service Medal box. I would suggest this case - or rather insert is for an ISM.

The George V pattern case is more associated with gallantry awards, and I would suggest either an Edward Medal or a King's Police Medal with this particular insert.
