truthergw Posted 12 November , 2005 Share Posted 12 November , 2005 From today's Southern Daily Echo. Stolen from Lloyds TSB in Eastleigh during the 2 minute silence yesterday. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If someone is desperate for drugs or alcohol, that person is not going to let any chance to get money go by. They are opportunist thiefs and no opportunity will be missed.
Stephen White Posted 12 November , 2005 Share Posted 12 November , 2005 (edited) Our local Texaco petrol station had it's Poppy Day collection tin stolen. The people concerned, where waiting to pay for petrol, then lent over the counter and took the collection tin, ran out of the shop and then drove off in their car. They where captured on CCTV, lovely "unhooded, non cap wearing" full face shots. The forecourt camera even caught the registration of the car they drove away in, (not bright this pair). The manager of the garage, has put lovely A3 sized pictures all over the garage shop showing them in the act, "do you know these people"?? Steven Broomfield Posted 13 November , 2005 Share Posted 13 November , 2005 Believe it - I've also had a tin nicked in the Borough of Eastleigh. My patch is West End village, and some low-life had it away with the tin in the Post Office (also on Friday, but too late for yesterday's Echo; should be in tomorrow's). OK I can claim the insurance (probably about £60 based on previous years), but I ask you........

Stephen <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Steve, I hope he also alerted the local plod. Blimey, nothing but nothing would give me greater pleasure than to nick those two d*ckheads. Sadly its not just poppy tins that get nicked from shops, all charity tins seem fair game to the drug/alcohol stupified scum that drag their knuckles around our streets. Sorry if that sounds harsh. (not) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have been into the Texaco garage today to buy petrol. I spoke to the girl at the till about it. She told me that the incident was reported to the Police and both people have since been arrested. The elder sister of one of the culprites has been in, screaming and shouting and threatening this and threatening that and ripping the posters down, "Because you've got my brother arrested"!!. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, It's commiting a crime that got him arrested. Apparently the manager is re printing the posters and putting them back up, with "now Arrested" plastered across them. Guest PAJORO Posted 26 November , 2005 Share Posted 26 November , 2005 That girl should have been arrested for Criminal Damage to the Posters.
Patrick H Posted 26 November , 2005 Share Posted 26 November , 2005 Good for him/her. Nice to see someone brave enough to stand up for what is morally right. A few more "name and shame" posters around might help our chav led society Patrick

Guest C729LEE Posted 29 November , 2005 Share Posted 29 November , 2005 (edited) Undoubted drug or alcohol related crime. Sad, however, no punishment is too harsh for these types, with their filthy habit of shoving sh**e into themselves. As a mate said (he works for the Customs & Excise - on the ferries), the best thing we could do is flood the market with ultra-pure/unrefined sh**e. Watch and wait - and when the sh**e hits the fan - do nothing. It would certainly rid us of a bit of low life, plus kill off, if only for a while, this profit lead trade. If you allowed this to happen every now & again, its just like culling nuisance pigeons (though they are preferable) it woulds make people think twice. Again - we are too bl***y soft in this country to do this. Edited 29 November , 2005 by C729LEE
ianw Posted 29 November , 2005 Share Posted 29 November , 2005 Yes, being that stupid should be a criminal offence in itself. What a good result. Of course, it will cost the tax payer big time to prosecute this scum and get them through to receiving their suspended sentences. But what else can be done. I note today that the Lord Chief Justice has suggested that mugging shouldn't automatically attract a custodial sentence upon conviction. It's amazing what affect full prisons can have on sentencing policy.
