Bruce Dennis Posted 11 November , 2005 Share Posted 11 November , 2005 Hello, all: I posted this question in the Home andPOW forum, but didn't get any feedback, so thought I would try here. Does anybody know where Bulgarian POWs would have been kept before being sent to their permanant camp? Or how to find out? My first troll through the National Archives produced nothing. The time and place I am interested in is Macedonia early/mid 1917 and I am trying to find the source of some information gained in interrogation of two Bulgarian POWs who reported (incorrectly) U-boat activity in the port of Kavalla. I am working on the assumption that the POWs were interrogated soon after capture, possibly in a holding camp. Sorry, I don't have any other way of narrowing the search down. Any pointers gratefully accepted. By the way, I will be really impressed if anyone provides the answer. Thanks, Bruce
RHLV Posted 17 November , 2005 Share Posted 17 November , 2005 Don't know the answer, but you might go to this site: http://forum.boinaslava.net/ It's a site with a number of Bulgarian fora. The first is an international forum which is in English. You might ask there. Someone might know, or be able to give you advice on where to look. You will need to register. Best wishes, Rich
