Remembered Today:

1914 Paris Taxi

Recommended Posts

Reading through a current 'Classic Car' magazine, I have just come across an advert for a 1909/10 Renault AX Cabriolet, ex-Paris taxi. This presumably was one of those commandeered by Gen. Galieni in 1914.

Your's for only £12,750! ;)

There is one on display at Le Invalides the French Army Museum in Paris. The last two times I have been there, years apart, WW1 section was closed but this is always on view.

Its still there. It lives in one of the main stairwells, and was refurbished in about 1999/2000 as part of the amenagement Les Invalides has been going through in recent years.
