Hello, could someone out there help me with this unit. I'm trying to find out what division they were attached to and their whereabouts on the Somme. Thank you.

From some obscure website called the Long, Long Trail ;) :

CCXLII Territorial Force 1st Line 48th Division from pre-war until 20 January [1917], when transferred to Army command. Redesignated from III South Midland Brigade May 1916. Batteries from Birmingham
